Strings Specialist and Curriculum Music

and Online
Ros trained at the Royal Northern College of Music, initially as a performer but became involved in the Junior Strings Project and Salford Music service where she discovered a real love of teaching. Ros has always been lucky enough to perform and teach in equal measure and believes she can’t do one well without being heavily involved with the other. Ros has worked for the Menuhin Foundation in Bermuda, West Sussex Music Support Service, Benenden School (as their principal Upper Strings teacher) and currently works at Brighton and Hove High School, coaches for Brighton Music service and plays in Kidenza, an orchestra dedicated to providing classical music for kids. Ros has taught music classes for children with learning difficulties, ran nursery music classes, set up chamber groups and workshops and conducted Youth Orchestras and String ensembles, and she has experience teaching from beginner to diploma level violin and viola students. She has taught nursery music classes and is comfortable across both the primary and secondary curriculum as well as working with adult learners.
