Reasons to Partner with SMS

• You are not obliged to use your local music hub – we can be your chosen partner organisation as set out in the National Plan. 

• We teach more instrumental lessons each year (34). Others teach 30 or 31 and have fewer points of intake. This makes a big difference to progress and for a similar price. 

• We have a fund to support Pupil Premium and FSM students and we buy instruments and books for them. 

• Lessons are mostly 1-2-1, allowing for greater progress. 20 or 30 mins  

• We can also offer pair/small group where educationally sound to make more accessible to all budgets. 

• Students can leave with just 4 lessons notice at any point during the year 

• We have 5 intakes a year- 5 entry points a year for new starters with costs pro-rated. 

• Parents like Direct Debit as it is easier to spread the cost (parents asked us for this). 

• Teachers receive training and monitoring (no ‘associates’).  

• SEND – Teachers receive specific SEND training from an expert partner organisation.  

• Small, personal organisation, very responsive - direct contact with central admin and teachers as well as our CEO. 

• 1 online parents eve, 1 end of year report per year 

• Access to exams on request. 

• Access to free consultancy, training etc as a SMS partner as well as to our online classroom music resource The Listening Project.
