Emily is a highly skilled professional cellist, composer and music teacher with over 20 years of performing and teaching experience. Following her undergraduate music degree at King's College London she pursued postgraduate study at the Royal Academy of Music gaining both a Masters and Postgraduate Diploma in Cello. Teaching experience includes a wide variety of ages and abilities from reception age to university and adult learners, beginner to diploma level with the ability to tailor methods to suit every pupil. A varied performing career has seen her play at most of London’s major venues through concert, private and commercial performing work with ensembles and various acts. From studio recordings for the BBC to chamber music at St Martin the Fields, film soundtracks, freelance orchestral work, corporate events at the Tate, British Museum, V&A and Westminster to weddings and private events in Mayfair, shows with bands and late night electric cello with Symphonic Ibiza. Emily is an experienced musician and enjoys sharing her skills and knowledge with her pupils, encouraging them to reach their potential and has a high achievement rate with pupils wishing to take exams, or simply wanting to get into music through their instrument
