WELCOME TO SUSSEX MUSIC SCHOOL
A not-for-profit organisation providing high quality curriculum music and instrumental lessons in schools, and private instrumental lessons for adults and children.
Sing, Play, Create
Private lesson for Children and Adults offering one to one lessons with fully DBS checked, experienced and dedicated local teachers. We teach guitar, piano, drums, uke, violin, cello, flute, clarinet, sax, singing, music production across Sussex and offer the first lesson free.
We can teach your music curriculum for you. Our Primary and Secondary Consultants have years of experience in advising and working with schools to supply the highest quality music provision as part of the curriculum. We also offer CPD for your staff and INSET days. In addition, Sussex Music School also has a full online Primary Curriculum package available - we have a great track record in this type of provision.
Our professional music teachers receive training, light-touch monitoring and ongoing support as necessary from our senior team. Only the best teachers in the field locally are accredited to SMS.
Valuing our music teachers is paramount as this will translate into the best musical experiences for our students.
Sussex Music School only employs the best music teachers across Sussex and this enables us to provide exceptional quality music tuition both privately and in schools across Sussex. All our teachers are full DBS checked and safeguarded and where possible local to the pupil.
Here at Sussex Music School, profits are invested back into local Music projects and supporting and promoting music for all. We invest in training and development for our teachers, including our mentoring programme for talented teachers at the beginning of their career. In addition we offer free instrument hire to Pupil Premium students, scholarships to some of our most talented and hard working young learners, regular concerts for pupils to enjoy and, as the business grows, community music centres and summer schools.
See below for our Schools Music Board where our pupils show us how they feel about learning an instrument with SMS
Chief Executive Officer, Aurora Academies Trust
"I am really looking forward to seeing your staff (and you!) back in our schools continuing to provide a first-class musical experience to our children. Music is such a vital part of everybody's life, and I am convinced that it will do more than its fair share to lift children's and adults' spirits in the post-lockdown era!"
