ROBBIE MITCHELL

I believe that Music, enthusiastically & inclusively taught, should be at the heart of every young person’s education. I have over 36 years’ experience of teaching music in various school settings and to different age groups, including: 19 years at Varndean School as Head of Music / Performing Arts, where I established the school’s strong reputation in these areas (gaining Music Specialism & ArtsMark Gold awards for the school). Having taught primary aged children at the start of my career, I’ve now returned to the primary classroom, and have worked freelance for Sussex Music School since 2015. I love to sing, play, compose & arrange music across a wide range of genres, and late in life have discovered a passion for Latin & Ballroom dancing!
