Gareth has been a conductor, pianist and vocal coach for some thirty years. Career highlights include conducting Strauss’s ​Der Rosenkavalier​ and Berlioz’s ​Damnation of Faust​ for Glyndebourne Festival Opera, He has also conducted Madame Butterfly, La Bohème and Carmen at the Royal Albert Hall. Concert performances include the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonia, at the Cheltenham Festival, with whom he has also recorded on the Chandos label. He has also recorded two CDs the late Suzanne Beer, former Principal with the London Philharmonic Orchestra; ​Cello Diverse​,including Brahms Debussy sonatas and ​Cinemacello​, arrangements (by Gareth) of great classical music used in film and TV.
