Alex has taught and played guitar professionally for over 25yrs and has a 100% pass rate for all exams. 

​

Alex has played on films, the radio and in a variety of differing line ups from solo guitar to band gigs in Theatre both in the UK and internationally. He studied guitar at the Guitar Institute of Technology alongside the more traditional route of Classical grades, to give him a solid foundation of contemporary and Classical approaches both in his playing and teaching.

Alex believes his role is to introduce students to music and guitar playing so they are inspired to follow their own path and to encourage self-learning. Also the key to learning is having fun and to enjoy the journey, whilst finding all types of music to be challenging and interesting.
