Ben – Guitar
Ben BA (Hons) Professional Musicianship
“I’ve been playing guitar for over sixteen years. Guitar is my absolute passion and I’m happy to have the opportunity to teach, inspire and pass on all that I have learnt over the years.
I first started playing the guitar when I was 11 years old and it was my love of AC/DC that propelled me forwards on my musical journey. My tastes in music have changed, developed and grown, listening and playing everything from classic rock, blues, country, pop, funk and many other styles. This eclectic mix means I am able to teach a whole range of styles to suit the needs of individual students.
I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Professional Musicianship and within my course, studied a Music Teaching module. Since then I have taught at various Music Academies, run a rock school in a college and taught groups and private one-to-one lessons, culminating in eight years worth of teaching experience. With all that I have learnt, along with being a professional and accomplished performing musician, both live and in the studio, I have been able to transfer that experience into my teaching approach and create a full proof learning process catering for all abilities. Whether you’re a complete beginner wanting to learn to play your favourite songs, or an experienced musician wanting to brush up on your theory, my teaching methods will provide you with the tools you need to achieve your guitar playing goals. “
